
International Construction & PPP Lawyer
Our client is a prominent European construction company with a history dating back to 1835. The company is renowned for its involvement in high-profile projects ranging from roads, bridges, and tunnels to stadiums and commercial properties.

Now, for its 100% owned subsidiary in Legal, Contract Management and Prequalification services, we look for a:
Responsibilities
- Legal support in international construction and public procurement procedures related to international PPP projects and/or project finance transactions in the infrastructure sector
- Thorough examination of tenders, project documentation, and financial records from a legal standpoint
- Creation and review of various legal agreements, including consortium agreements, project contracts (such as project agreements, construction contracts, design agreements, supply contracts), financing agreements, advisory contracts, and more
- Effective negotiation with stakeholders including public grantors, development partners, consortium members, advisors, lenders, and subcontractors
- Legal counsel in the due diligence and project development phases within the energy sector
- Supervision of the tendering process, including selection and oversight of external legal advisors
Your profile
- Possession of a law degree is required, with post-graduate studies in international construction law or financing being highly valued
- Proven expertise in international construction law, including familiarity with standard contract forms such as FIDIC and NEC, coupled with a deep understanding of international project finance transactions
- Strong negotiation abilities and exceptional organizational acumen, with an unwavering attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to upholding ethical business practices
- Ability to offer legal counsel with a commercial and cross-disciplinary approach, underpinned by a solid technical comprehension
- Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in German is advantageous but not obligatory

The company offers a gross annual salary starting at €70,000 for this challenging position in project finance; overpayment is possible depending on education, qualifications and professional experience.
