About the role

Our client is a global reference in advanced digital solutions for the industrial sector. Their Software & Solutions division builds a modern software ecosystem that connects online sales, production workflows and end-to-end operational processes for thousands of users worldwide. We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineering Lead to define platform strategy, lead a talented engineering team and drive the evolution of a cloud-native, IoT-integrated platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology strategy for the cloud platform, aligning architecture with product and business goals.
• Establish architectural standards, technical guidelines and best practices to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Lead, mentor and grow the engineering team based at the site, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
• Hold end-to-end technical ownership of the cloud platform and its integration across the software & IoT ecosystem.
• Plan and coordinate major development projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Monitor technology trends and continuously improve engineering standards, processes and tooling.

Your profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience leading software engineering teams and complex projects, preferably in cloud and IoT domains.
• Strong expertise in software architecture, cloud platforms, microservices and modern development practices.
• Proven leadership, excellent communication skills and the ability to make strategic technical decisions.
• Proactive, results-oriented mindset and strong teamwork abilities.
• Languages: Fluent English and Fluent German (written and spoken).
