Process Specialist / Logistics

We are hiring an experienced Logistics Process Specialist who will:

• act as the primary point of contact for logistics service providers regarding all packaging-related topics at the Ostrava site,
• evaluate and continuously improve packaging processes in collaboration with internal departments and external partners,
• identify and communicate logistical and legal requirements to service providers and ensure their compliance,
• define and monitor performance indicators (KPIs) and oversee billing accuracy,
• initiate and coordinate packaging process improvements across interdisciplinary interfaces,
• prepare, assess, and technically approve tender documentation related to packaging services,
• manage cost and budget planning connected to packaging logistics and ensure financial tracking,
• support the setup and development of packaging standards and processes aligned with BMW’s global logistics framework.

We are looking for a professional with:

• university degree, or equivalent experience in a related field,
• at least 3 years of experience in logistics, ideally in a packaging or process-focused role,
• strong understanding of logistics processes, systems, structures, and workflows,
• experience from an automated production environment is an advantage,
• ideally, knowledge of SAP WHM, lean management, and value-oriented production systems (WPS),
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills, initiative, and a hands-on mindset,
• fluent English and willingness to travel.

Before launch, you will take part in several months of training in Germany to gain hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the processes behind BMW’s global success.
