You will be in charge of all technical aspects of packaging, with responsibility to design, develop and implement protective, optimized and cost-effective packaging solutions. What You Can Expect?
  • Act as the primary technical contact and support for our external logistics provider and packaging material suppliers on all topics concerning packaging solutions.
  • Design and implement innovative supply and packaging concepts, using tools like CAD for simulation and conducting transport testing for global application.
  • Ensure the economical use of all packaging materials and aids, while defining and monitoring performance indicators to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement packaging strategies in close collaboration with central departments and international plants to ensure globally optimized processes are achieved.
  • Create clear, detailed instructions for packaging processes and support new program start-ups or runouts.
  • Initiate process optimizations and support tenders for packaging material suppliers to ensure continuous improvement.
What We Expect:
  • A university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), or equivalent experience in a related field with a focus on logistics and packaging.
  • At least three years of professional experience in the field of logistics / packaging.
  • Direct experience in the design of packaging, especially for overseas transport, is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with SAP systems, particularly the WHM module, is necessary.
  • A creative, self-motivated, and assertive personality, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English and willingness to travel.

Before launch, you will take part in several months of training in Germany to gain hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the processes behind BMW’s global success.

Upon return, you will be part of the core team responsible for launching and developing the Ostrava site in close cooperation with the headquarters.
