Our client is an internationally operating software company, developing aviation solutions and air traffic services. With a clear vision to make flying safer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly, the company delivers innovative technologies that help to enhance the overall passenger experience.

For its office in Graz, our client is currently looking for a Senior Software Developer (m/f/d).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality software using a modern technology stack for fault-tolerant, high-performance computing solutions in the aviation industry
  • Implement, test, document, and integrate new features as part of an agile development team
  • Define and refine features in close collaboration with the Product Owner and your development colleagues
  • Create and present software-level designs, develop test procedures, and participate in internal reviews
  • Coach team members and actively foster knowledge-transfer sharing within the team
  • Take end-to-end ownership of feature development, aligned with overall project milestones and delivery commitments

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education in software development (e.g. higher technical college or a degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or a comparable field)
  • Strong interest in and understanding of relevant mathematical principles (e.g. Kalman filter, state-transition matrices)
  • Ability to research new topics, learn quickly, and apply new knowledge effectively
  • Proactive, pragmatic mindset with a structurd, step-by-step approach to problem solving
  • Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, and data pipelines
  • Experience working with the GIT and azure frameworks (e.g. Azure DevOps, cloud services)
  • Exposure to different programming paradigms (functional and object-oriented); experience with Scala, Java and Python is a plus
  • Fluent English skills (working language)

The minimum salary for this position, as per the IT collective agreement, is 3,843.00 € gross per month. However, there is a possibility of offering a higher salary based on your qualifications and professional experience.
