Contract Logistics Manager

We are hiring an experienced Service Contract Manager who will:
  • oversee and monitor the transport and logistics service providers at the Ostrava site,
  • identify, communicate, and ensure compliance with logistical and legal requirements,
  • initiate and coordinate process improvements in collaboration with cross-functional partners,
  • define and track performance indicators (KPIs) and manage corrective actions in case of deviations,
  • prepare, evaluate, and approve tender documents for service providers,
  • manage cost and budget planning related to service providers and monitor expenditures,
  • contribute to the strategic development of logistics operations at a new global logistics hub.
We are looking for a professional with:
  • university degree, or equivalent experience in a related field,
  • at least 3 years of experience in operational logistics,
  • in-depth knowledge of logistics processes, structures, and systems,
  • experience with quality management and project management methods (advantage),
  • ideally a background in Lean Management and Value-Oriented Production Systems (WPS),
  • strong negotiation skills and assertiveness,
  • fluent English and willingness to travel.

Before launch, you will take part in several months of training in Germany to gain hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the processes behind BMW’s global success.

Upon return, you will be part of the core team responsible for launching and developing the Ostrava site in close cooperation with the headquarters.
