
System Engineer (m/f/d)
Our client is an internationally operating software company, developing aviation solutions and air traffic services. For its office in Graz, our client is currently looking for a System Engineer (m/f/d).
Responsibilities:
- Set up and configure system infrastructure, including HP server/client hardware and Cisco/HP Aruba switches
- Install and configure Linux operating systems (preferably RedHat) using Ansible
- Configure, tune and maintain proprietary in-house software solutions
- Execute configuration and operational tasks such as build scripts, monitoring, system control and automation
- Create, validate, and execute of system test procedures aligned with customer requirements and project quality standards
- Plan, manage, and deliver work packages (design, configuration, testing), using JIRA and Confluence for tracking and documentation
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and full alignment with customer needs
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in computer science, engineering or a comparable field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Linux (preferably RedHat)
- Good understanding of network fundamentals and technologies (Layer 2/3; Cisco/Aruba)
- Experience with automation and DevOps tools (e.g. Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting
- Strong general IT and engineering skills, with a structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach
- Working knowledge of project management and documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with AutoCAD/QGIS and knowledge of A-SMGCS technology are a plus
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written); basic German skills are an advantage

The minimum salary for this position, as per the IT collective agreement, is 3,843.00 € gross per month. However, there is a possibility of offering a higher salary based on your qualifications and professional experience.
