This is a hands-on Systems Engineering role supporting cross-functional technical projects, driving clarity at system and interface level, and strengthening the practical application of Systems Engineering and Requirements Management methods across the organization. We are looking for an engineer who combines technical understanding with pragmatic Requirements Engineering – not a purely theoretical requirements specialist or project coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:

- Translate internal engineering practices, factory standards, stakeholder input, and project needs into clear, consistent, and verifiable requirements
- Create, refine, and maintain requirement sets where technical requirements are partially available and partially still to be developed
- Ensure requirements are operationalized in a way that is usable for engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing, and downstream verification
- Technically moderate cross-functional discussions between internal stakeholders and external partners
- Clarify technical interfaces between engines, mechanical systems, auxiliary systems, controls, software-related functions, installation environments, and adjacent disciplines
- Support the implementation, structuring, and quality assurance of requirements in Codebeamer
- Ensure requirement quality regarding clarity, consistency, completeness, traceability, and verifiability
- Provide practical guidance to engineering teams on efficient requirement formulation and structuring
- Support alignment with applicable internal engineering standards, factory norms, and project-specific boundary conditions
- Drive technical topics toward structured and workable engineering outputs instead of theoretical over-discussion
- Support the further development and practical deployment of Systems Engineering methods in day-to-day project work
- Contribute to internal Systems Engineering training and knowledge transfer in a pragmatic, application-oriented manner
- Support the development of reusable requirement structures, interface descriptions, and scalable engineering logic across comparable applications and projects
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
- Educational background in system development and simulation, ideally including Model-Based Systems Engineering MBSE, MATLAB, or comparable methods and tools
- 5–7 years of professional experience in Requirements Management, Requirements Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical systems role
- Experience in cross-functional system development, interface management, and requirement structuring for complex engineered systems Experience with requirements management tools, ideally Codebeamer; experience with comparable requirements management tools is also welcome
- Strong understanding of complex technical products and interdisciplinary engineering environments
- Basic understanding of reciprocating engines and related mechanical, auxiliary, controls, or software interfaces is beneficial
- Understanding of controls, software-related Systems Engineering, or basic programming logic is an advantage
- Experience supporting engineering teams through practical method application, training, or coaching is beneficial
- Strong communication skills, a pragmatic working style, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Passion for system development and for turning technical complexity into structured, usable engineering outputs
- Availability to work locally in Jenbach, Austria, three days per week
- German language skills are an advantage
